The challenge
A stainless steel agitator propeller corrodes every 6 weeks, while stirring pickled water around freshly harvested potatoes, mixed with mud and stones. The customer was looking for an alternative material and optimized design for this propeller.
The solution
Since there was no 3D-model available, we reverse engineered the propeller, tweaked the design for optimal flow and produced the part in PolyPropylene (PP).
The results
The solution decreased machine downtime and optimized replacement cost.
