The challenge
Creating spare parts for older elevator-models, since those are not available. The low yearly volumes make injection molding not an option.
The solution
Creating a digital library for these older parts. Using Reverse engineering, a new 3D-model was created that fits exactly to the previous look and feel of the original model.
The results
The total cost of ownership is lower than injection molding prices. That way, we expand the lifetime of existing elevator models. There is no need for a big investment and the storage of molds. The flexibility of production on-demand means: no cash in stock.
